Sour Diesel is a legendary, heavily sativa-dominant hybrid (roughly 70% to 90% sativa). Emerging on the East Coast of the United States in the early 1990s, it quickly cemented itself as an all-time classic and a staple in pop culture. While its exact origin story is heavily debated, it is widely believed to have originated from a cross between Chemdawg and Super Skunk.
It acts as a fast-acting “daytime” powerhouse. It delivers an intense, uplifting cerebral buzz that boosts energy, focus, and creative drive. Unlike indica varieties, it completely bypasses physical “couch-lock” and heavy sedation.
It is world-famous for its incredibly pungent, “loud” scent. It features a dominant, sharp skunky fuel (diesel) aroma with strong undertones of sour citrus, lemon, and earthy pine.
It is a highly potent strain, with THC levels consistently testing between 18% and 26%.
